UR is a Berlin-based duo formed by Jacopo Bertacco (baritone guitar, synths, vocals) and Nico Lippolis (drums, percussion).

Active since 2016, the band blends the raw energy of psychedelic rock, prog, and punk with hypnotic repetition and tribal intensity. Influenced by bands like Swans, Goat, King Crimson, and Motorpsycho, UR crafts immersive live performances that unfold like sonic rituals.

Their debut album "City of Ur" (2020), and the single "In The City" reflect their dense, visceral sound.

The duo has performed across Berlin’s underground scene and toured Italy with Malika Ayane. They’ve collaborated with various artists including members of Einstürzende Neubauten, Bob Rutman, and Mad Kate, and have received praise from Robert Fripp.

UR is currently working on their second studio album.
